Money Girl - Quick and Dirty Tips for a Richer Life
This podcast has weekly editions that give various tips dealing with personal finances such as “Take Charge of Your Credit Cards”. I could use this podcast in my Personal Finance class. I could same the individual podcasts and use them when they relate to what we are talking about in class or I could have a Money Girl Friday. On every Friday we listen and discuss the new podcast from Money Girl. I could also pair the students up and give each group a podcast to listen to. Then they are responsible for teaching the rest of the class what the podcast taught them.
My Trivia Podcast
This podcast is all about trivia. Each one has a theme, for example “borders,” and then all the questions are based on that theme. An example would be “Which state does the Canadian providence Ontario not border – Minnesota, New Hampshire, Michigan, or New York? The hosts give the questions and then give you time to answer them. At the end of the podcast they give the correct answers to the questions. The questions are multiple-choice, music related, and/or movie related? I think this podcast could be used in my classroom as a break from the norm.
I could start off a class with the questions just to get their attention and to get them into the thinking mode. If the trivia questions were related to what we were talking about that would be even better.
